When you need basic print you are faced with two production options: offset (fancy commercial press) and digital (smaller and easy to operate machine). What do we recommend? Well, depends on how long you can wait. If time is not a huge factor and you can wait a week, we recommend going with the offset printed cards. It offers superior quality print and allows for thicker paper stock to be utilized.
If, however, you need the cards yesterday, digital printing is your go-to. Digital print products look good (and they get better as the technology evolves) as long as the machine operator is diligent when it comes to cutting, and the designer working on your artwork is aware of the limitations this technology poses.
Since the price point is almost the same, we always recommend offset printed products, if time allows.
